Sequences of Copolyesters by 1H NMR and 31P NMR Spectroscopy [PDF]

open access: yesPolymer Journal, 1998
31P NMR and 1H NMR spectra of copolyesters containing phosphorus compounds, obtained by ester-exchange reaction, were studied. Poly(ethylene terephthalate) was used as the main component and poly(hydroquinone phenylphosphate), poly[bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)sulfonephenylphosphate], and poly[bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)sulfonemethylphosphate], as phosphorus compounds.

Development of a new and reliable assay for choline kinase using 31P NMR

open access: yesHeliyon, 2019
Choline kinase catalyzes the conversion of choline to phosphocholine (PC) by transferring a phosphate group from adenosine triphosphate (ATP) as the first step in the biosynthetic pathway for the membrane phospholipid phosphatidylcholine, an essential ...

An intracellular pH gradient in the anammox bacterium Kuenenia stuttgartiensis as evaluated by (31)P NMR [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The cytoplasm of anaerobic ammonium oxidizing (anammox) bacteria consists of three compartments separated by membranes. It has been suggested that a proton motive force may be generated over the membrane of the innermost compartment, the “anammoxosome ...

Systematic Study of the Physicochemical Properties of a Homologous Series of Aminobisphosphonates

open access: yesMolecules, 2012
Aminobisphosphonates, e.g., alendronate and neridronate, are a well known class of molecules used as drugs for various bone diseases. Although these molecules have been available for decades, a detailed understanding of their most important ...

Combining diffusive gradients in thin‐films (DGT) and 31P NMR spectroscopy to determine phosphorus species in soil

open access: yesAgricultural & Environmental Letters, 2022
The diffusive gradients in thin‐films (DGT) technique shows in many publications a superior correlation to the amount of plant‐available phosphorus (P) in soil.

Potential Phosphorus Uptake Mechanisms in the Deep Sedimentary Biosphere

open access: yesFrontiers in Marine Science, 2022
Our understanding of phosphorus (P) dynamics in the deep subseafloor environment remains limited. Here we investigate potential microbial P uptake mechanisms in oligotrophic marine sediments beneath the North Atlantic Gyre and their effects on the ...

Synthesis and Application in Polypropylene of a Novel of Phosphorus-Containing Intumescent Flame Retardant

open access: yesMolecules, 2010
A novel phosphorus-containing triazine oligomer poly(2-morpholinyl-4-penta-erythritol phosphate-1,3,5-triazine) (PMPT) was synthesized as a kind of tri-component intumescent flame retardant (IFR). The chemical structure of PMPT was characterized by FTIR,
