A phenology-based vegetation index classification (PVC) algorithm for coastal salt marshes using Landsat 8 images

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Earth Observations and Geoinformation, 2022
Coastal salt marshes, as a globally significant intertidal ecosystem, are highly productive but extremely fragile and unstable. Mapping coastal salt marshes accurately is the basis of assessing global climate change, biological invasion, and coastal ...

Effect of Gate Oxide and Back Oxide Materials on Self-Heating Effect in FinFET

open access: yesEast European Journal of Physics
The self-heating effect on the fin field effect transistor (FinFET) is investigated. The dependence of the lattice temperature in the channel center of the transistor on the thickness of the gate oxide, as well as the back oxide, is simulated.

Capsular Repair Matters for Residual Micromotion After Latarjet. An Externally Controlled Trial from the La Tour Group

open access: yesThe Hive
Background: Even though surgery is commonly used to treat glenohumeral instability, there is no evidence that such treatment effectively corrects glenohumeral translation.

Investigation the effective factors on the forces acting on the scoop in a gas centrifuge machine in three-dimensional conditions with the DSMC method [PDF]

open access: yesمجله علوم و فنون هسته‌ای
This article presents a simulation of a scoop inside the rotor of a gas centrifuge machine in three dimensions. The scoop inside the centrifuge machine is 3D and curved in shape. Therefore, a 3D simulation is necessary to analyze the proper flow behavior

Natural convective heat transfer characteristics of Al2O3-water nanofluids in a vertical cylindrical enclosure

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2020
The present numerical investigation deals with the natural convection in a vertical cylindrical enclosure with a water-based Al2O3 nanofluids. The enclosure with an aspect ratio of 1 (= diameter / height) is filled with Al2O3-water nanofluids or pure ...

Simulation and Visualization of Thermal Metaphor in a Virtual Environment for Thermal Building Assessment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
La référence est présente sur HAL mais est incomplète (il manque les co-auteurs et le fichier pdf). The current application of the design process through energy efficiency in virtual reality (VR) systems is limited mostly to building performance ...

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Three-Dimensional Simulation Model for Synergistically Simulating Urban Horizontal Expansion and Vertical Growth

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2022
Urban expansion studies have focused on two-dimensional planar dimensions, ignoring the impact of building height growth changes in the vertical direction on the urban three-dimensional (3D) spatial expansion.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Numerical simulation of upper garment pieces-body under different ease allowances based on the finite element contact model

open access: yesAUTEX Research Journal
The interval distribution under different ease allowances directly influences the dressing effect. However, the indistinct 3D dressing process and unclear interval distribution pose severe challenges to practical applications.
