Exploring the role of clinical and demographic characteristics on the effects of virtual reality cognitive behavioral therapy for psychosis: A moderator analysis

open access: yesActa Psychiatrica Scandinavica, Volume 151, Issue 3, Page 293-303, March 2025.
Abstract Background Virtual Reality cognitive behavioral therapy (VR‐CBT) has proven to be an effective treatment method for paranoia and anxiety in psychosis. However, it is unknown, which individuals benefit most from VR‐CBT. Previous studies examined factors affecting the treatment effect of regular CBTp, including illness duration, paranoia ...

Learning Climbing Controllers for Physics‐Based Characters

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, Volume 44, Issue 1, February 2025.
This paper presents a physics‐based climbing controller that synthesizes climbing motions through two learning stages: hanging and climbing policy training. Experiments show the method effectively identifies optimal climbing postures and improves limb coordination across diverse slopes and hold patterns.

Interconnected Microgrids Load‐Frequency Control Using Stage‐by‐Stage Optimized TIDA+1 Error Signal Regulator

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2025.
Numerical assessments and comparisons demonstrate that the stage‐by‐stage optimized TIDA+1 controller, despite its simple design, exhibits markedly superior performance under intricate working situations compared with traditional controllers of the same category, such as PID and FOPID.

Introducing a Novel Controller for Combined Load Frequency Control and Automatic Voltage Regulation of Interconnected Microgrids

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
1) Introducing a novel controller named the tilt‐proportional‐integral‐derivative second‐order derivative controller (TPIDD2) for the first time. 2) Utilising a battery energy storage system (BESS) in each of the µGs to account for uncertainties in photovoltaic (PV) and wind turbine (WT).

Virtual inertia and damping‐based cascaded control approach for enhancing load frequency control in low‐inertia multi‐area power systems

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, Volume 2025, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
This paper presents a novel cascaded controller integrating a virtual synchronous generator and an adaptive neuro‐fuzzy inference system for enhancing load frequency control in low‐inertia multi‐area power systems with solar PV and wind integration.

Shifted axis angular positioning mechanisms – unconventional use of exact constraint design

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
Paper presents some remarks about designing angular positioners having significant angular displacement and shifted axis of rotation. Those driving mechanism are useful in specific applications where mechanism wraps around other object or there is a need

Design of an Advanced Inlet Liner for the Quiet Technology Demonstrator 3 [PDF]

open access: yes
The utilization of advanced fan designs (including higher bypass ratios) and shorter engine nacelles has highlighted a need for increased fan noise reduction over a broad frequency range.

Re-Computation of Numerical Results Contained in NACA Report No. 685 [PDF]

open access: yes
In an engineering note published in the Journal of Aircraft in the year 2000, Thomas A. Zeiler made generally known that some of the early works on aeroelastic flutter by Theodore Theodorsen and I.E. Garrick (NACA Report Nos. 496, 685, and 741) contained
