Photochromic carbazole photoinitiators for precision visible‐light photopolymerization

open access: yesPolymer International, EarlyView.
New carbazole–naphthopyran derivatives were employed as visible‐light‐activated photoinitiators, enabling rapid and localized radical photopolymerization to produce well‐defined thin solid objects within minutes. Abstract Two carbazole derivatives, each incorporating a naphthopyran unit and an aromatic ketone, were synthesized and evaluated as ...

Energy Transfer in Nanodroplet‐Based Luminescent Solar Concentrators

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
We present novel luminescent solar concentrators (LSCs) featuring polymer composites with fluorescent dye‐doped oil nanodroplets. This liquid environment ensures high dye solubility and preserves fluorescence quantum yields, even at high local dye concentrations.

Crystal Structures and Magnetic Properties of Coordination Polymer Complexes of Metal Ions With Kojic Acid Ligands

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, EarlyView.
One‐dimensional coordination polymers of Cu(II) and Co(II) with kojic acid show distinct chain connectivities revealed by X ray crystallography and exhibit extremely weak magnetic interactions, as supported by magnetic measurements and molecular orbital calculations. The crystal structures and magnetic properties of coordination complexes [Cu(C6H5O4)2]

Organocatalytic clean synthesis of densely functionalized 4H-pyrans by bifunctional tetraethylammonium 2-(carbamoyl)benzoate using ball milling technique under mild conditions

open access: yesGreen Chemistry Letters and Reviews, 2016
A green and simple method has been developed for efficient preparation of diverse annulated 2-amino-3-cyano-4H-pyran derivatives in the presence of a low loading of tetraethylammonium 2-(carbamoyl)benzoate (TEACB), as a bifunctional organocatalyst, under

Resilience of floral scent emission after florivory

open access: yesPlant Biology, EarlyView.
Florivory is thought to affect floral traits, impacting pollination. However, our data suggest a stability in post‐florivory scent emission, which may guarantee the maintenance of pollinator visitation regardless of florivory, indicating a resilience of natural systems with multiple and simultaneous interactions. Created in BioRender. Tunes, P.

The synthesis of 4H-pyran containing hemispherands via pyrylium salts [PDF]

open access: yesTetrahedron Letters, 1986
Two new hemispherands 2a and 2b containing a central 4H-pyran unit were synthesized via appropiately substituted 2,6-phenyl pyrylium salts; largest ΔGo values of complexation of 2a and 2b with different alkali picrates are found for Na+ and K+.
