Angular distribution measurement of gamma rays from inelastic neutron scattering on 56Fe at the nELBE time-of-flight facility

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2017
Inelastic neutron scattering from 56Fe was studied at the nELBE time-of-flight facility. The incoming neutron energy ranges from 100 keV to 10 MeV in the fast neutron spectrum, where high precision nuclear data are needed.

Full Neutralization of Centruroides sculpturatus Scorpion Venom by Combining Two Human Antibody Fragments

open access: yesToxins, 2021
A fundamental issue of the characterization of single-chain variable fragments (scFvs), capable of neutralizing scorpion toxins, is their cross-neutralizing ability. This aspect is very important in Mexico because all scorpions dangerous to humans belong

Chronic delivery of a thrombospondin-1 mimetic decreases skeletal muscle capillarity in mice. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
Angiogenesis is an essential process for normal skeletal muscle function. There is a growing body of evidence suggesting that thrombospondin-1 (TSP-1), a potent antiangiogenic protein in tumorigenesis, is an important regulator of both physiological and ...

ABCC2 is associated with Bacillus thuringiensis Cry1Ac toxin oligomerization and membrane insertion in diamondback moth

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
Cry1A insecticidal toxins bind sequentially to different larval gut proteins facilitating oligomerization, membrane insertion and pore formation. Cry1Ac interaction with cadherin triggers oligomerization.
