Rapid Luminosity Decline and Subsequent Reformation of the Innermost Dust Distribution in the Changing-look AGN Mrk 590 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
We examine the long-term optical/near-infrared (NIR) flux variability of a "changing-look" active galactic nucleus (AGN) Mrk 590 between 1998 and 2007. Multi-band multi-epoch optical/NIR photometry data from the SDSS Stripe 82 database and the Multicolor Active Galactic Nuclei Monitoring (MAGNUM) project reveal that Mrk 590 experienced a sudden ...

A New Limit on CPT Violation [PDF]

open access: yesPhys.Rev.Lett.84:590-593,2000; Erratum-ibid.85:3546,2000, 1999
A search for antiproton decay has been made at the Fermilab Antiproton Accumulator. Limits are placed on fifteen antiproton decay modes. The results are used to place limits on the characteristic mass scale Mx that could be associated with CPT-violation accompanied by baryon number violation.

LncRNA NEAT1 promotes apoptosis and inflammation in LPS-induced sepsis models by targeting miR-590-3p

open access: yesExperimental and Therapeutic Medicine, 2020
Sepsis is a complication of infection caused by disease or trauma. Increasing evidence have shown that long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are involved in the regulation of sepsis. However, the mechanism of lncRNA nuclear enriched abundant transcript 1 (NEAT1)

miR-590-3p and Its Downstream Target Genes in HCC Cell Lines

open access: yesAnalytical Cellular Pathology, 2019
miRNAs are small non-coding RNA sequences of 18-25 nucleotides. They can regulate different cellular pathways by acting on tumor suppressors, oncogenes, or both.

Inhibition of the aberrant A1CF-FAM224A-miR-590-3p-ZNF143 positive feedback loop attenuated malignant biological behaviors of glioma cells

open access: yesJournal of Experimental & Clinical Cancer Research, 2019
Background Glioma is the most common and lethal type of malignant brain tumor. Accumulating evidence has highlighted that RNA binding protein APOBEC1 complementation factor (A1CF) is involved in various cellular processes by modulating RNA expression ...

Desperately Seeking Chiral Fermions [PDF]

open access: yesNucl.Phys.Proc.Suppl. 47 (1996) 587-590, 1996
Chiral fermions can (presumably) be constructed by introducing two regulators, one for the gauge fields (e.g. a lattice), and another for the fermion functional integrals in a fixed (regulated) gauge field. This talk discusses cutoff effects arising from the regulator of the fermions.

Downregulation of lncRNA ZFAS1 protects H9c2 cardiomyocytes from ischemia/reperfusion-induced apoptosis via the miR-590-3p/NF-κB signaling pathway

open access: yesMolecular Medicine Reports, 2020
Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) ZNFX1 antisense RNA 1 (ZFAS1) is upregulated in acute myocardial infarction; however, the role of ZFAS1 in myocardial ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury remains unknown.

Patterns of alcohol consumption and related behaviour in Great Britain: a latent class analysis of the alcohol use disorder identification test (AUDIT) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Aims: Attempts have been made to develop typologies to classify different types of alcoholism. However, limited research has focused on classifications to describe general patterns of alcohol use in general population samples.

Expression of LncRNA HCG11 and miR-590-3p in Squamous Carcinoma of Cervix and Their Relationship with Prognosis

open access: yesZhongliu Fangzhi Yanjiu, 2018
Objective To investigate the expression of long non-coding RNA (LncRNA) HCG11 and miR-590-3p in squamous carcinoma of cervix and paired adjacent tissues, and their correlation with patients' clinical data and prognosis.

A review of the hard pomeron in soft diffraction [PDF]

open access: yesNucl.Phys. A755 (2005) 587-590, 2005
We review the evidence for the presence of a hard singularity in soft forward amplitudes, and give an estimate of its trajectory and couplings.
