Quantifying and estimating additive measures of interaction from case-control data
In this paper we develop a general framework for quantifying how binary risk factors jointly influence a binary outcome. Our key result is an additive expansion of odds ratios as a sum of marginal effects and interaction terms of varying order.

Negative Binomial charts for monitoring high-quality processes [PDF]
Good control charts for high quality processes are often based on the number of successes between failures. Geometric charts are simplest in this respect, but slow in recognizing moderately increased failure rates p.

Indirect inference for survival data [PDF]
In this paper we describe the so-called "indirect" method of inference, originally developed from the econometric literature, and apply it to survival analyses of two data sets with repeated events.

Incorporating patients' characteristics in cost-effectiveness studies with clinical trial data: a flexible Bayesian approach [PDF]
Most published research on the comparison between medical treatment options merely compares the results (effectiveness and cost) obtained for each treatment group.

Model selection and sensitivity analysis for sequence pattern models
In this article we propose a maximal a posteriori (MAP) criterion for model selection in the motif discovery problem and investigate conditions under which the MAP asymptotically gives a correct prediction of model size. We also investigate robustness of
