Development and validation of a high performance thin layer chromatographic method for determination of 1, 8-Cineole in Callistemon Citrinus

open access: yesPharmacognosy Research, 2014
A new, simple, precise, rapid, and selective high performance thin layer chromatographic (HPTLC) method has been developed and validated for the estimation of 1, 8-cineole in volatile oil of leaves of Callistemon Citrinus obtained by hydro distillation. The method was validated as per ICH guidelines and can be utilized for routine analysis.

The continuing significance of chiral agrochemicals

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 81, Issue 4, Page 1697-1716, April 2025.
In the time frame 2018–2023, around 43% of the 35 chiral agrochemicals introduced to the market (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, acaricides, and nematicides) contain one or more stereogenic centers in the molecule, and almost 69% of them have been marketed as racemic mixtures of enantiomers or stereoisomers.

Leveraging Controlled-Environment Agriculture to Increase Key Basil Terpenoid and Phenylpropanoid Concentrations: The Effects of Radiation Intensity and CO2 Concentration on Consumer Preference

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2021
Altering the radiation intensity in controlled environments can influence volatile organic compound (VOC) biosynthetic pathways, including those of terpenoids and phenylpropanoids. In turn, the concentrations of these compounds can have a profound effect

Effect of drought stress on essential oil composition ofThymus vulgarisL. (Chemotype 1, 8-cineole) from wild populations of Eastern Iberian Peninsula [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Essential Oil Research, 2016
[EN] 1,8-cineole defines a typical chemotype of Thymus vulgaris L. in Iberian Peninsula. This compound has a wide range of potentially useful bioactive properties. In order to study the influence of drought stress in the essential oil (EO) composition of this chemotype, sixty plants from six wild populations of Eastern Iberian Peninsula were distilled ...

Pyrolysis of 1, 8-Cineole with Raney Nickel from which Hydrogen was Desorbed

open access: yesNippon kagaku zassi, 1960

Organ‐specific terpenoid responses in Tanacetum vulgare are chemotype‐dependent

open access: yesPlant Biology, EarlyView.
Common tansy varieties defend differently: some boost root chemicals against soil pests, while others release stronger leaf scents against aphids. Abstract Specialized metabolites such as terpenoids are known to mediate plant defence mechanisms. However, how terpenoid diversity governs inducible chemistry across organs remains poorly understood.

Chitosan‐induced modulation of secondary metabolism and stress tolerance in Salvia rosmarinus under combined drought and heat stress

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, Volume 106, Issue 10, Page 5989-6001, 15 August 2026.
Abstract BACKGROUND Abiotic stresses, particularly drought and elevated temperatures, negatively affect plant physiological and metabolic processes. This study investigated the effects of drought, heat, and combined stress on Salvia rosmarinus (rosemary), and evaluated foliar‐applied chitosan as a biostimulant.
