Transposable Element–Driven PIEZO Mutation Enhances Locust Flight in Plateau Hypoxia
Advanced Science, EarlyView.Why transposable elements (TEs) persisted or expanded in genomes remains a mystery. Using integrated analysis of TE macro‐ and microevolution in locusts, our results showed that thousands of TE insertions promoted widespread adaptive variation. Subfamilies of candidate adaptive TEs amplified and reshaped species‐level genomic architecture.

Advanced Science, EarlyView.Pasta is a transcriptomic aging clock built on an age‐shift learning framework and trained on 17 000 samples across 21 datasets. It accurately predicts relative biological age across tissues, platforms, and species, captures stemness‐to‐senescence transitions, and identifies age‐modulatory perturbations.

Advanced Science, EarlyView.A soft hybrid multi‐wavelength PPG wearable acquires neonatal signals. Synchronized PPG and invasive ABP data are segmented into fixed windows. A 1D‐EfficientNet model predicts segment‐level SBP and DBP. Model performance is examined with retrospective subgroup analysis across acquisition conditions.

Cycling Performance of Sodium‐Metal Chloride Battery Cells and Modules Based on Iron and Zinc
Advanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.High‐utilization sodium–metal chloride cells with a mixed‐metal Fe, Zn, NaCl cathode enable efficient high‐temperature cycling (300°C) while reducing cost and environmental impact. Near‐theoretical capacity and high efficiency are achieved in single cells.
