Reproducibility is imperative for any scientific discovery. More often than not, modern scientific findings rely on statistical analysis of high-dimensional data. At a minimum, reproducibility manifests itself in stability of statistical results relative to "reasonable" perturbations to data and to the model used.

A stability index for detonation waves in Majda's model for reacting flow
Using Evans function techniques, we develop a stability index for weak and strong detonation waves analogous to that developed for shock waves in [GZ,BSZ], yielding useful necessary conditions for stability. Here, we carry out the analysis in the context

Normalization of green space as a component of ecological stability of a town
The article analyzes and compares the existing quantitative norms of green space in different cities of Ukraine and other countries. It is substantiated that the index of provision of green space per capita is significantly more informative under the ...

A stability property of a force-free surface bounding a vacuum gap
A force-free surface (FFS) ${\cal S}$ is a sharp boundary separating a void from a region occupied by a charge-separated force-free plasma. It is proven here under very general assumptions that there is on ${\cal S}$ a simple relation between the charge ...

On hyperexponential stability and stabilization
Theorems on hyperexponential stability are proposed for both explicitly and implicitly defined Lyapunov functions. It is shown that finite-time and fixed-time controls based on the use of implicitly defined Lyapunov function provide hyperexponential stability under sampled-time realization.

We analyze limited enantioselective (LES) autocatalysis in a temperature gradient and with internal flow/recycling of hot and cold material. Microreversibility forbids broken mirror symmetry for LES in the presence of a temperature gradient alone.

Hybrid rye as a good crop component to enhance yield stability in a winter cereal mixture
The knowledge on yield stability and variability of hybrid cultivars cultivated in a mixture with triticale over the years is limited. Therefore, a two-factorial experiment with the cropping system (pure vs.

Maximal order of accuracy of (m, 1)-methods for solving stiff problems
We investigate (m, 1)-methods for solving stiff problems in which the right part of system of the diааerential equations is calculated one times on each step. It is shown that the maximal order of accuracy of the L-stability (m, 1)-method is equal to two,

Maternal PRDM10 activates essential genes for oocyte-to-embryo transition
PR/SET domain-containing (PRDM) proteins are metazoan-specific transcriptional regulators that play diverse roles in mammalian development and disease. Several members such as PRDM1, PRDM14 and PRDM9, have been implicated in germ cell specification and ...
