Properties of Azotobacter phage A14 and its DNA
Virology, 1973Abstract Azotobacter phage A14 consists of a large polyhedral head and a contractile tail. It contains 34% DNA and has a particle weight of 470 × 106 daltons. Details of the head and tail structure were revealed by negative staining. Staining and fixed angle shadowing indicated that the head has icosahedral symmetry.
