Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer

Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.

Existence of solutions to second-order boundary-value problems with small perturbations of impulses

Summary: We study second-order impulsive differential equations with Dirichlet boundary conditions, depending on two real parameters. We show that an appropriate growth condition of the nonlinear term, under small perturbations of impulsive terms, ensures the existence of three solutions. The approach is based on variational methods.

Here, the authors present a new criterion for the preservation of nonoscillatory behavior of solutions to the second-order delay differential equation \[ x''(t) + p(t) x(t-\tau)=0,\qquad t\geq t_0, \] under impulsive perturbations. A method of direct analysis and a technique not utilizing fixed-point theorems are developed.
