Hydrogel Thermostat Inspired by Photoprotective Foliage Using Latent and Radiative Heat Control
Guided by Populus alba foliage, this hydrogel latent‐radiative thermostat (LRT) actively balances latent and radiative heat fluxes. An LRT switches solar reflectance, maintains high mid‐IR emissivity, and reversibly evaporates/regenerates water, while titanium oxide (TiO2) nanoparticles toughen the film.

A Biochar‐Based Composite Hydrogel Microenvironment for Enhanced Biocatalysis
This work presents the synthesis of a polyacrylamide hydrogel wherein biomass‐derived biochar is co‐encapsulated with the enzyme horseradish peroxidase (HRP). The resulting composite hydrogel possesses balanced electron‐rich and electron‐deficient domains, creating an optimal microenvironment that concentrates both hydrogen peroxide and phenol ...

A Two Step Face Alignment Approach Using Statistical Models
Although face alignment using the Active Appearance Model (AAM) is relatively stable, it is known to be sensitive to initial values and not robust under inconstant circumstances. In order to strengthen the ability of AAM performance for face alignment, a
