CydDC-mediated reductant export in Escherichia coli controls the transcriptional wiring of energy metabolism and combats nitrosative stress [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The glutathione/cysteine exporter CydDC maintains redox balance in Escherichia coli. A cydD mutant strain was used to probe the influence of CydDC upon reduced thiol export, gene expression, metabolic perturbations, intracellular pH homeostasis, and ...

Phase Diagrams Enable Solid‐State Battery Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Batteries are non‐equilibrium devices with inherent thermodynamic driving forces to react at interfaces, regardless of kinetics or operating conditions. Chemical potential mismatches across interfaces are dissipated via interfacial reactions. In this work, it is illustrated how phase diagrams and chemical potential maps predict degradation pathways but

Magnetic Textiles: A Review of Materials, Fabrication, Properties, and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Magnetic textiles (M‐textiles) are emerging as a programmable materials platform that merges magnetic matter with hierarchical textile structures. This article consolidates magnetic material classes, textile architectures, and fabrication and magnetization strategies, revealing structure–property–function relationships that govern magneto‐mechanical ...

Association study of suicidal behavior and affective disorders with a genetic polymorphism in ABCG1, a positional candidate on chromosome 21q22.3 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
The gene that codes for the ABC transporter ABCG1 is located in a chromosomal susceptibility region (21q22.3) for affective disorders. Genetic variations in ABCG1 have been associated with affective disorders in Japanese males.

CDK4/6 Inhibition Induces CD8+ T Cell Antitumor Immunity via MIF‐Induced Functional Orchestration of Tumor‐Associated Macrophages

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CDK4/6 inhibition promotes CD8+ T cell expansion through tumor‐macrophage crosstalk by activating HIF‐1α and enhancing MIF‐CD44/CD74 signaling. This reprograms TAMs to boost MHC‐I antigen presentation, and CDK4/6 inhibitor‐trained M1 TAM supernatant therapy synergizes with low‐dose PD‐1 blockade to restore antitumor immunity.

AutomataGPT: Transformer‐Based Forecasting and Ruleset Inference for Two‐Dimensional Cellular Automata

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We introduce AutomataGPT, a generative pretrained transformer (GPT) trained on synthetic spatiotemporal data from 2D cellular automata to learn symbolic rules. Demonstrating strong performance on both forward and inverse tasks, AutomataGPT establishes a scalable, domain‐agnostic framework for interpretable modeling, paving the way for future ...

Association of ATP‐binding cassette transporter genomic alterations and expressions with patient survival in breast and prostate cancer

open access: yesPhysiological Reports
ATP‐Binding Cassette (ABC) transporters play a key role in drug resistance and cancer progression. We analyzed the correlation between ABC transporter gene alterations and patient survival in breast and prostate cancers using large‐scale genomic datasets.
