Dynamic Changes in ABCC4 Protein‐Protein Interactions during PKA Signaling: Role of the ABCC4 PDZ Motif

The FASEB Journal, 2022
We recently demonstrated that a protein interaction between the PDZ motif of ABCC4 and a single PDZ‐domain‐containing protein, MPP1 had an important role in ABCC4 function in acute myeloid leukemia (Pitre et al. Nature Comm . 2017).

The Abcc4 Knockout Reveals An Important Role for Abcc4 in Platelet Aggregation

Blood, 2011
Abstract Abstract 1141 Cyclic nucleotides have an important role in platelet aggregation and the role of phosphodiesterases in regulating their concentration is well known. Currently it is unknown if plasma membrane cyclic nucleotide export proteins regulate cyclic nucleotide concentrations in platelets.

Oral Availability of Cefadroxil Depends on ABCC3 and ABCC4

Drug Metabolism and Disposition, 2012
Some cephalosporins, such as cefadroxil, are orally available. H(+)-coupled peptide transporter 1 mediates the transport of cephalosporins across the apical membrane of enterocytes. It is not known which mechanism(s) is responsible for the subsequent transport of cephalosporins across the basolateral membrane toward the circulation.

Unimpaired immune functions in the absence of Mrp4 (Abcc4)

Immunology Letters, 2009
Dendritic cell (DC) migration to draining lymph nodes is important for the initiation of an effective immune response. Recently we reported that the human ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter multidrug resistance protein 4 (MRP4 and ABCC4) is required for the migration of human DC. Since the ABC transporter MRP1 (ABCC1) was previously shown to play a

Structural insights into human ABCC4-mediated transport of platelet agonist and antagonist

Nature Cardiovascular Research, 2023
Human platelets contribute to hemostasis and thrombosis, the imbalance of which can cause cardiovascular diseases. The activation and accumulation of platelets can be induced by agonists or inhibited by antagonists. Thus, the human ABC transporter ABCC4, which pumps out platelet agonists and antagonists, might become a promising target for preventing ...
