Necrotic adrenal myelolipoma in a geriatric dog
Abstract Adrenal myelolipomas are rare in dogs and usually incidental findings. They appear as hyperechoic, heterogeneous masses on ultrasound and fat‑dominant lesions on computed tomography (CT). An 11‑year‑old Spaniel cross presented with a 2‑day history of diarrhoea, vomiting and polyuria/polydipsia.

ABSTRACT Vascular Ehlers–Danlos syndrome (vEDS) is a hereditary connective tissue disorder caused by heterozygous pathogenic variants in COL3A1. European studies have shown that celiprolol may reduce the risk of life‐threatening vascular events, but outcomes in non‐European populations and the therapy's psychological impact remain unclear. We conducted

Abdominal aortic calcification in dialysis patients: results
Abstract Background. Patients with chronic kidney disease stage 5 have a high prevalence of vascular calcification, but the specific anatomical distribution and severity of abdominal aortic calcification (AAC), in contrast to coronary calcification, is less well documented. AAC may be recorded using plain radiographs.

The vasculo‐splenic axis during exercise: shear stress triggers the release of medium/large extracellular vesicles from vascular endothelial cells via activation of Piezo1, shuttling Piezo1 to the smooth muscle cells in the splenic capsule; the translocated Piezo1 within the splenic capsule acts as a downstream effector of the α1‐adrenergic receptor ...

Hypertriglyceridemia: Causes, Consequences, Diagnosis, and Management
Hypertriglyceridemia (HTG) arises from the interplay between genetic susceptibility and secondary or precipitating factors, leading to dysregulated triglyceride‐rich lipoprotein (TRL) metabolism. Increased TRL production and impaired clearance promote distinct risk phenotypes: accumulation of apolipoprotein B(apoB)‐containing TRL remnants contributes ...
