Two-dimensional dynamical system associated with Abel’s nonlinear differential equation
Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1992 A two-dimensional dynamical system is proposed that is described by a pair of nonlinear ordinary differential equations(ODEs) with a complex parameter. It reduces to Abel’s nonlinear ODE of the first kind by an appropriate transformation. Using this fact the properties of solutions are investigated in detail with the aid of numerical computations.

We suppose that r=r(t) is a periodic particular solution of Abel’s differential equation and, then, by means of the transformation method and the fixed point theory, present an alternative method of generating the other periodic solutions of Abel’s differential equation.
