Stability of corneal topography and wavefront aberrations \ud in young Singaporeans
Purpose\ud \ud To investigate the differences between and variations across time in corneal topography and ocular wavefront aberrations in young Singaporean myopes and emmetropes. \ud \ud Methods\ud \ud We used a videokeratoscope and wavefront sensor to

This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Measuring ocular aberrations in the peripheral visual field using Hartmann-Shack aberrometry
We have used the Hartmann-Shack technique previously to measure ocular aberrations along the horizontal meridian of the visual field. This requires considerable modifications from the technique for measuring the aberrations corresponding to the fovea. We

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Ocular higher-order aberrations, age and refraction
Higher-order aberration data of 339 right eyes from an optometric practice were measured using the Carl Zeiss i.Profiler. We analysed effects of age and refraction on higher-order aberrations.

Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.
