Design strategy and management of aberration correction process for lens with high complexity index [PDF]

open access: yesНаучно-технический вестник информационных технологий, механики и оптики, 2021
Subject of Research. The strategy of designing optical imaging systems is defined, which consists in combining various design methods and is based on the theory of structural and parametric synthesis, ensuring the presence of the necessary correction ...

Detection of chromosome aberrations in metaphase and interphase tumor cells by in situ hybridization using chromosome-specific library probes [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
Chromosome aberrations in two glioma cell lines were analyzed using biotinylated DNA library probes that specifically decorate chromosomes 1, 4, 7, 18 and 22 from pter to qter.

Full‐Color Metaoptical Imaging in Visible Light

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, 2022
Metaoptics is a fast‐growing field with the potential to dramatically miniaturize image sensors. Unlike many other scientific endeavors, metaoptics are poised to make a technological and commercial impact within a few decades of inception. In particular,

The Effect of a Parabolic Apodizer on Improving the Imaging of Optical Systems with Coma and Astigmatism Aberrations

open access: yesPhotonics, 2023
We present the results of improving resolution in the imaging of two closely spaced point sources with an optical system under the influence of apodization and different types of aberrations. In particular, we consider the effect of coma and astigmatism,

Inner Leaf Gel of Aloe striata Induces Adhesion-Reducing Morphological Hyphal Aberrations

open access: yesJournal of Fungi, 2018
Fungi, particularly molds that are cosmopolitan in soils, are frequent etiologic agents of opportunistic mycoses. Members of the Fusarium solani and Fusarium oxysporum species complexes are the most commonly implicated etiologic agents of opportunistic ...

Chromatic aberration in metalenses

open access: yesAdvances in Applied Mathematics, 2021
This paper provides a mathematical approach to study chromatic aberration in metalenses. It is shown that radiation of a given wavelength is refracted according to a generalized Snell's law which together with the notion of envelope yields the existence of phase discontinuities.

Wave front aberrations and patient satisfaction of aspheric intraocular lenses

open access: yesJournal of the Egyptian Ophthalmological Society, 2018
Aim The aim was to study postoperative wave front higher order aberrations of eyes implanted with aspheric intraocular lens (IOL) in comparison with those with standard spherical IOL and to assess the subjective satisfaction in relation to both IOL ...

Cyto–Genotoxic Effect Causing Potential of Polystyrene Micro-Plastics in Terrestrial Plants

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2022
The polystyrene micro-plastics (Ps-MPs) is one of the leading pollutants found in both aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. While most of the studies on the morphology and cyto-toxicity of MPs have been based on aquatic organisms, their effects on ...

Strehl ratio and optimum focus of high-numerical-aperture beams [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the European Optical Society-Rapid Publications, 2007
We analytically calculate the focus setting for a beam with a high numerical aperture (NA) that optimizes its Strehl ratio in the case of small aberrations up to the ’just’ diffraction-limited value (Strehl ratio ≥0.80).
