In vitro and in vivo studies of the trypanocidal activity of four terpenoid derivatives against Trypanosoma cruzi. [PDF]
Four terpenoid derivatives were examined for their activity against Trypanosoma cruzi. Our results show that two compounds were very active in vitro against both extra- and intracellular forms.

Abietane Diterpenoids from the Hairy Roots of Salvia corrugata
Salvia corrugata Vahl. is an interesting source of abietane and abeo-abietane compounds that showed antibacterial, antitumor, and cytotoxic activities. The aim of the study was to obtain transformed roots of S. corrugata and to evaluate the production of

Pyrolysis of tall oil-derived fatty and resin acid mixtures [PDF]
Neutralised mixtures of tall oil-derived fatty acids and resin acids were separately pyrolysed (at 750∘C for 20 s) by pyrolysis gas chromatography with mass-selective and flame ionisation detection (Py-GC/MSD/FID) to clarify their thermochemical ...

Micro infrared spectroscopy discrimination capability of compounds in complex matrices of thin layers in real sample coatings from artworks [PDF]
The presence of coating on manufactures either to protect them from the environment, or to give them specific properties—as well as simply to change their aspect—has been shown to be a constant practise throughout history.

Abietane diterpenes from Salvia napifolia
Abstract From the acetone extract of the roots of Salvia napifolia , eight known diterpenoids—horminone, 7-acetylhorminone, ferruginol, pachystazone, cryptanol, cryptojaponol, sugiol and microstegiol—and five new diterpenes—6,12,14-trihydroxyabieta-6,8,11,12-tetraen, 7,20-epoxyroyleanone, 1-oxoferruginol, 6-oxoferruginol and 11,12-dioxoabieta-8,13 ...

20-Nor-abietane and rearranged abietane diterpenoids from the root of Salvia argentea
From the root of Salvia argentea three new abietane diterpenoids, 1R-hydroxymiltirone, arucadiol and 1-keto-aethiopinone, have been isolated, together with the previously known diterpenes isopimara-8(9),15-diene, salvipisone, ferruginol and aethiopinone. The structures of the new compounds were established by spectroscopic means. © 1986.
