Mass diffusion and liner material effect in a MagLIF fusion-like plasma [PDF]
, 2018 In this paper, liner - fuel mass diffusion and the effect of the liner material on mass ablation, energy and magnetic flux losses are studied in a MagLIF fusion-like plasma. The analysis performed in [Garc\'ia-Rubio and Sanz, Phys. Plasmas 24, 072710 (2017)] is extended to liner materials of an arbitrary atomic number.

Nanosecond laser ablation of Si(111) under an aqueous medium [PDF]
, 2018 Nanosecond laser ablation of p-type Si(111) wafer is presented under an ambient, a water and a glycerin conditions. Effects of pulse energy, number of pulses and type of environment are systematically analyzed with an Optical Profilometer, a Scanning Electron Microscope and an Atomic Force Microscope.

Laser ablation loading of a surface-electrode ion trap
, 2007 We demonstrate loading by laser ablation of $^{88}$Sr$^+$ ions into a mm-scale surface-electrode ion trap. The laser used for ablation is a pulsed, frequency-tripled Nd:YAG with pulse energies of 1-10 mJ and durations of 3-5 ns.

miRNA‐29 regulates epidermal and mesenchymal functions in skin repair
FEBS Letters, EarlyView.miRNA‐29 inhibits cell‐to‐cell and cell‐to‐matrix adhesion by silencing mRNA targets. Adhesion is controlled by complex interactions between many types of molecules coded by mRNAs. This is crucial for keeping together the layers of the skin and for regenerating the skin after wounding.
