Defining New Metrics in Microwave Ablation of Pulmonary Tumors: Ablation Work and Ablation Resistance Score

Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, 2016
To investigate pulmonary microwave ablation metrics including ablation work, ablation resistance score, and involution.Retrospective review was performed of 98 pulmonary tumor ablations using the NeuWave Certus Microwave Ablation System (NeuWave Medical, Madison, Wisconsin) in 71 patients (32 men and 39 women; mean age, 64.7 y ± 11.5).

Ablation of Severe Drug‐Resistant Tachyarrhythmia During Pregnancy

Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, 2010
Ablation of Tachyarrhythmia During Pregnancy. Aims: The goal of this study was to describe mapping and ablation of severe arrhythmias during pregnancy, with minimum or no X‐ray exposure. Treatment of tachyarrhythmia in pregnancy is a clinical problem.

Deep UV Ablation of PMMA Resists

Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1983
Deep UV exposure of Polymethyl methacrylate resist systems has been investigated in the spectral region 220–250 nm using a special deep UV light source. The ablation of PMMA resist follows a quantitative exponential relation and is independent of molecular weight and substrates. The erosion rates at higher temperatures show a dependence on the Tg of

Alternative Approaches for Ablation of Resistant Ventricular Tachycardia

Cardiac Electrophysiology Clinics, 2017
Ventricular tachycardia (VT) ablation is usually performed with an ablation catheter that delivers unipolar radiofrequency (RF) energy to eliminate the re-entry circuit responsible for VT. However, there are some instances when unipolar RF ablation fails, notably in VTs with a deep intramural origin, or cases in which epicardial access is not ...

Ablation resistance of certain epoxy compounds

Polymer Mechanics, 1972
The rate of ablation in oxidative and inert media at flow velocities up to 200 m/sec has been investigated for certain epoxy compounds containing powdered copper and zinc dust. The causes of ablative destruction and the factors tending to improve the ablation resistance are examined.

Irrigated Tip Catheter Ablation in Right Posteroseptal Accessory Pathways Resistant to Conventional Ablation

Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology, 2002
GARCÍA‐GARCÍA, J., et al.: Irrigated Tip Catheter Ablation in Right Posteroseptal Accessory Pathways Resistant to Conventional Ablation. Although RF ablation is an effective treatment of arrhythmias due to atrioventricular accessory pathways, there are cases refractory to conventional catheter ablation.

Novel Laser Ablation Resists for Excimer Laser Ablation Lithography. Influence of Photochemical Properties on Ablation

The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2001
The ablation characteristics of various polymers were studied at low and high fluences. The polymers can be divided into three groups, i.e., polymers containing triazene and ester groups, the same polymers without the triazene group, and polyimide as reference polymer.

Polymer resist materials for excimer ablation lithography

Applied Surface Science, 1998
Abstract Excimer ablation lithography (EAL) is a new lithography suitable to TFT-LCD. Among the constituent technologies, the polymer materials for the resist is most crucial, as high ablation rates are required at low fluence. To elucidate the ablation mechanism at low fluence we specified some characteristic features through observations of about ...

Microstructure and ablation behavior of SiMo/graphite composites with excellent short-time ablation resistance

Corrosion Science, 2020
Abstract Si-Mo alloy was infiltrated into porous graphite to develop a short-term low-ablative SiMo/graphite composite material. 19.4 vol.% residual Si was retained in the composites and significantly improved the short-term (less than 60 s) ablation resistance without sacrificing long-term (∼180 s) ablation resistance.

Oxyacetylene ablation resistance of continuous gradient ceramic–polymer composite

Corrosion Science, 2021
Abstract In this study, the ablation mechanism and ablation properties of continuous gradient ceramic–polymer composites were studied in an oxyacetylene environment, with the ablation heat flow being 2.38 MW/m2. The samples were prepared through six impregnation–crosslinking–pyrolysis cycles using a three-dimensional seven-directional carbon fiber ...
