ATF7 ablation prevents diet-induced obesity and insulin resistance

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 2016
The activating transcription factor (ATF)2 family of transcription factors regulates a variety of metabolic processes, including adipogenesis and adaptive thermogenesis. ATF7 is a member of the ATF2 family, and mediates epigenetic changes induced by environmental stresses, such as social isolation and pathogen infection.

Experimental Rocket Motor Applied in Evaluate the Ablation Performance of Ablation Resistance Materials

44th AIAA/ASME/SAE/ASEE Joint Propulsion Conference & Exhibit, 2008
In order to evaluate the ablative performance of ablation resistance material and to validate the effect of cooling structure exactly, the experimental system based on rocket motor is developed, then the experimental researches on how the ablative performance of the C/SiC ceramic matrix composite material and penetration C/C composite material is ...

mTOR Inhibition Ablates Cisplatin-Resistant Salivary Gland Cancer Stem Cells

Journal of Dental Research, 2020
Patients with advanced salivary gland mucoepidermoid carcinoma (MEC) are treated with surgery and radiotherapy, as current systemic therapies are largely ineffective. As such, current treatment frequently leads to poor long-term survival due to locoregional recurrence or metastases.

Ablation resistance of carbides-coated C/C composites

Surface Engineering, 2017
To improve the ablation resistance of C/C composites under oxyacetylene flame, SiC, TaC and HfC coatings were fabricated on composites surface. Ablation properties of coatings were detected and the ablation mechanism was discussed in the paper as well.

Ablation resistance of ZrB2–SiC–AlN ceramic composites

Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2009
Abstract ZrB 2 –20 vol.%SiC–5 vol.%AlN ceramic composites (ZSA) were fabricated by hot pressing sintering under inert gas protected, which mechanical properties were improved obviously by introducing AlN as sintering aid. Ablation tests of ZSA were conducted with different heat flux parameters in high frequency plasma wind tunnel.

High transmittance–low resistivity ZnO:Ga films by laser ablation

Journal of Vacuum Science & Technology A: Vacuum, Surfaces, and Films, 1996
High transmittance, low resistivity, and c-axis highly oriented ZnO:Ga thin films on glass were obtained by laser ablation at different deposition temperatures. The surface morphology, crystalline structure, and optical and electrical properties were found to depend directly on substrate temperature.

STEEL WEAR RESISTANCE 100CrMnSi6-4 AFTER ABLATION LASER TEXTURE

Tribologia, 2017
We analysed the results of tribological laboratory model tests, including measurements of temperature, friction force, and wear, in the model friction for samples made of 100CrMnSi6-4 steel. Measurements were made using a linear method on selected samples after conventional quenching and after laser texturing. Samples in the form of discs cooperated in

Resist-polymer ablation by mid-infrared-free-electron laser

Advances in Patterning Materials and Processes XXXV, 2018
Laser ablation of poly(4-hydroxystyrene) (PHOST) film was studied using mid-Infrared free-electron laser (mid-IR FEL), of which irradiation wavelength was tuned to the vibrational absorption peaks of PHOST in mid-IR spectral region. A PHOST film was ablated by mid-IR FEL light to produce a clear hole in a PHOST film which suggested the photochemical ...

Resistance to ablation of pitch-derived ZrC/C composites

Carbon, 2004
Fine-grain and coarse/fine-grain pitch-derived ZrC/C composites were prepared by a hot-pressing method. Their ablation resistance was tested in an oxyacetylene flame with high velocity gas. The effects of the Zr content and the dimension of particles in the composites on the ablation were studied.
