AbstractPower has long been linked to the stigma of corruption. Three studies indicated that different power concepts have different implications for corruption behavior and perception. The personalized power concept relates to using power to pursue self‐centered goals for one's own benefit, whereas the socialized power concept relates to using power ...

Individual Utility Depends Only on Absolute Consumption
2017Traditional economic theory assumes, preposterously, that a person’s loss in utility when he alone suffers an income decline is the same as his utility loss when everyone’s income declines by the same proportion. In fact, the person’s loss in utility is much smaller when everyone’s income declines.

Absolute Measurement of Current Dependence in DC Resistors by a Double Current Method
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2013A double current method is presented for absolute measurements of the current dependence (power variation) of dc resistors. Based on the resistance measurement principle of a direct current comparator (DCC), and adding another DCC-based extender with a turn ratio 1:1, the testing current in resistors to be tested is accurately doubled.

Measurements of absolute reflectivities of mosaic crystals and their wavelength dependence
Journal of Applied Crystallography, 1971The absolute reflectivities of a Pb (111) and a Cu (220) crystal in transmission have been measured with very good resolution by a comparison of the diffracted and forward transmitted intensities at two wavelengths, 1.825 and 1.226 A. When appropriate absorption corrections are made, the theoretical maximum value of 0.5 is obtained for the peak ...
