The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Absolute continuity and hyponormal operators

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1981
Let T be a completely hyponormal operator, with the rectangular representation T=A+iB, on a separable Hilbert space. If 0 is not an eigenvalue of T* then T also has a polar factorization T=UP, with U unitary. It is known that A,B and U are all absolutely

Factors for absolute Cesaro summability

open access: yesTamkang Journal of Mathematics, 2001
In this paper using $ \delta $-quasi-monotone sequences a theorem on $ | C, \alpha, \beta; \delta |_k $ summability factors of infinite series, which generalizes a theorem of Mazhar[6] on $ | C, 1 |_k $ summability factors, has been proved.

$\psi(3770)$ and $B$ meson exclusive decay $B \to \psi(3770) K$ in QCD factorization

open access: yes, 2006
Belle has observed surprisingly copious production of $\psi(3770)$ in $B$ meson decay $B\to \psi(3770)K$, of which the rate is comparable to that of $B\to \psi(3686)K$. We study this puzzling process in the QCD factorization approach with the effect of S-

In vitro models of cancer‐associated fibroblast heterogeneity uncover subtype‐specific effects of CRISPR perturbations

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

Dynamic matrix factorization-based collaborative filtering in movie recommendation services

open access: yesHo Chi Minh City Open University Journal of Science - Engineering and Technology
Movies are a primary source of entertainment, but finding specific content can be challenging given the exponentially increasing number of movies produced each year. Recommendation systems are extremely useful for solving this problem.

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

A QCD analysis of LHCb D-meson data in p+Pb collisions

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
We scrutinize the recent LHCb data for D0-meson production in p+Pb collisions within a next-to-leading order QCD framework. Our calculations are performed in the SACOT-m T variant of the general-mass variable-flavour-number scheme (GM-VFNS), which has ...

Crucial parameters for precise copy number variation detection in formalin‐fixed paraffin‐embedded solid cancer samples

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that copy number variations (CNVs) can be reliably detected in formalin‐fixed paraffin‐embedded (FFPE) solid cancer samples using ultra‐low‐pass whole‐genome sequencing, provided that key (pre)‐analytical parameters are optimized.
