Absolute-instability growth rates and eigenmode structures in the electron-beam—backward-wave system with large excesses over the generation threshold

Radiophysics and Quantum Electronics, 2007
We study the eigenmode structures with large excesses over the generation threshold in the electron-beam — backward-wave system in terms of the linear theory. It is shown that with increase in the length of the interaction space, the field maximum of both the fundamental and the higher-order modes shifts toward the collector end of the system ...

Absolute and relative changes in tree growth rates and changes to the stand diameter distribution of Pinus taeda as a result of midrotation fertilizer applications

Canadian Journal of Forest Research, 2008
Silvicultural treatments have the potential to change the diameter distribution of a stand, which can alter the final product mix of the stand. Growth and yield models need to account for these changes in the diameter distribution to assess the economic viability of the silvicultural operations.

Absolute Correlation between Lag Time and Growth Rate in the Spontaneous Formation of Several Amyloid-like Aggregates and Fibrils

Journal of Molecular Biology, 2007
The formation of polypeptide aggregates, including amyloid fibrils and prions, is a biochemical process of considerable interest in the context of its association with ageing and neurodegeneration. Aggregation occurs typically with a lag phase and a growth phase that reflect an underlying nucleation-polymerisation mechanism.

Assessing competition using absolute and relative growth rates and relative density of wood for red pine (Pinus resinosa Ait.)

2011
Effects of competition among trees of red pine (Pinus resinosa Ait.) on tree growth and on the relative density of wood were examined. Data came from a spacing trial with initial spacings ranging from 1.2x1.2 m to 6.0x6.0 m; individual trees were measured for DBH, height, and crown dimensions at several ages.

The Impact of Inflation, Exchange Rate, Interest Rate, and External Debt-to-GDP Ratio on Economic Growth in Egypt: A Quarterly Analysis (2012–2022) Using least absolute shrinkage and selection operator Regression (LASSO)

SSRN Electronic Journal

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the impact of the inflation rate, real interest rate, exchange rate, and external debt-to-GDP ratio—considered as independent variables—on the economic growth rate, which serves as the dependent variable in Egypt.
