COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Exchange of indivisible goods and indifferences: the Top Trading Absorbing Sets mechanisms [PDF]

open access: yes
There is a wide range of economic problems involving the exchange of indivisible goods without monetary transfers, starting from the housing market model of the seminal paper of Shapley and Scarf [10] and including other problems like the kidney exchange

On Soft Near-Prime Int-Ideals and Soft 1-Absorbing Prime Int-Ideals With Applications

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics
In this study, we aimed to introduce two different generalizations of the soft prime int-ideal and clarify the relationships between the soft prime int-ideal and the substructures of a ring. First, we explored new algebraic features of the soft prime int-

Infinite kernel perfect digraphs

open access: yesAKCE International Journal of Graphs and Combinatorics, 2017
Let be a digraph, possibly infinite, V() and A() will denote the sets of vertices and arcs of , respectively. A subset of V() is said to be a kernel if it is both independent (a vertex in has no successor in ) and absorbing (a vertex not in has a ...

An absorbing set for the Chialvo map

open access: yesCommunications in Nonlinear Science and Numerical Simulation
The classical Chialvo model, introduced in 1995, is one of the most important models that describe single neuron dynamics. In order to conduct effective numerical analysis of this model, it is necessary to obtain a rigorous estimate for the maximal bounded invariant set.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Scaling behavior of the contact process in networks with long-range connections

open access: yes, 2009
We present simulation results for the contact process on regular, cubic networks that are composed of a one-dimensional lattice and a set of long edges with unbounded length.

Estimation of aerosol and cloud radiative heating rate in the tropical stratosphere using a radiative kernel method [PDF]

open access: yesGeoscientific Model Development
A layer of aerosols has been identified in the upper troposphere and lower stratosphere above the Asian summer monsoon (ASM) region, typically referred to as the Asian Tropopause Aerosol Layer (ATAL).
