Effect of bifurcation in physicochemical parameters on outburst hazard of coal seams [PDF]
The paper considers interaction between gas-kinetic and physicochemical parameters in coal seams, which conditions coal and gas outbursts. The laboratory and field test data on interaction between geomechanical and physicochemical processes in coal seams

Urine is a rich source of biomarkers for cancer detection. Tumor‐derived material is released into the bloodstream and transported to the urine. Urine can easily be collected from individuals, allowing non‐invasive cancer detection. This review discusses the rationale behind urine‐based cancer detection and its potential for cancer diagnostics ...

MR imaging of model drug distribution in simulated vitreous
The in vitro and in vivo characterization of intravitreal injections plays an important role in developing innovative therapy approaches. Using the established vitreous model (VM) and eye movement system (EyeMoS) the distribution of contrast agents with ...

Evidence for Photoionization Driven Broad Absorption Line Variability [PDF]
We present a qualitative analysis of the variability of quasar broad absorption lines using the large multi-epoch spectroscopic dataset of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 10. We confirm that variations of absorption lines are highly coordinated

Quantum Stochastic Absorption [PDF]
We report a detailed and systematic study of wave propagation through a stochastic absorbing random medium. Stochastic absorption is modeled by introducing an attenuation constant per unit length $\alpha$ in the free propagation region of the one ...

Damped Lyman-alpha Absorption Associated with an Early-Type Galaxy at Redshift z = 0.16377
We report new HST and ground-based observations of a damped Lyman-alpha absorption system toward the QSO 0850+4400. The redshift of the absorption system is z = 0.163770 and the neutral hydrogen column density of the absorption system is log N = 19.81 cm*
