On the Estimation of Maximum Coefficients of Absorption [PDF]
On the basis of the correspondence principle it is shown that Einstein's coefficient of absorption can be estimated from the equation Bnα=2π3e2Q2/3h2 where e is the charge and Q the amplitude of the virtual oscillator which corresponds to the transition by absorption from state Sn to Sα. Assuming that probable maximum values can be obtained by taking e

Inverse Braking Radiation and Resonance Absorption in Corona Plasmas of Inertial Confinement Fusion [PDF]
: In this paper, combining the Maxwell equations with the electron balanceequation, we obtain the inverse braking radiation absorption coefficient in a laser fusioncorona plasma.

A new simple method for determining the sound absorption coefficient
Taking into account the influence of the length and diameter of the impedance tube on the process of decay of sound waves, a new study of sound propagation in an impedance tube is presented, on the basis of which it is easier to determine the sound ...

THE ABSORPTION COEFFICIENT OF HARD γ-RAYS [PDF]
The relation between the frequency of hard radiations and the absorption coefficient is not experimentally well established at the present time. In order to obtain definite information it is necessary to use a radiation with high homogeneity. γ-Rays from ThC” are found to fulfill this requirement.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

The relationship between low temperature CO2 absorption coefficient and temperature
This article studied the absorption line of carbon dioxide gas with wavelength at 1 572.34 nm in the low temperature range, which was lack of data for CO2 absorption lines at low temperatures in the absorption spectrum data of HITRAN database. An empirical

Imaging the Human Thyroid Using Three-Dimensional Diffuse Optical Tomography: A Preliminary Study
Thyroid cancer is usually diagnosed by ultrasound imaging and fine-needle aspiration biopsy. However, diagnosis of follicular thyroid carcinomas (FTC) is difficult because FTC lacks nuclear atypia and a consensus on histological interpretation.

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...
