The relationship between low temperature CO2 absorption coefficient and temperature

open access: yes上海师范大学学报. 自然科学版, 2019
This article studied the absorption line of carbon dioxide gas with wavelength at 1 572.34 nm in the low temperature range, which was lack of data for CO2 absorption lines at low temperatures in the absorption spectrum data of HITRAN database. An empirical

Imaging the Human Thyroid Using Three-Dimensional Diffuse Optical Tomography: A Preliminary Study

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
Thyroid cancer is usually diagnosed by ultrasound imaging and fine-needle aspiration biopsy. However, diagnosis of follicular thyroid carcinomas (FTC) is difficult because FTC lacks nuclear atypia and a consensus on histological interpretation.

Time-dependent angularly averaged inverse transport

open access: yes, 2009
This paper concerns the reconstruction of the absorption and scattering parameters in a time-dependent linear transport equation from knowledge of angularly averaged measurements performed at the boundary of a domain of interest.

Light-induced absorption in photorefractive strontium barium niobate [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
Sr0.59Bao.41Nb2O6 and Sro.75Bao.25Nb2O6 exhibit an intensity-dependent absorption in the visible spectral range. We perform pump (green)-probe (red) measurements and find variation as high as 0.45 cm-' in the absorption coefficient, which depends ...

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

A new simple method for determining the sound absorption coefficient

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
Taking into account the influence of the length and diameter of the impedance tube on the process of decay of sound waves, a new study of sound propagation in an impedance tube is presented, on the basis of which it is easier to determine the sound ...

Absorption coefficient estimation of thin MoS2 film using attenuation of silicon substrate Raman signal

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2019
A simple, non-destructive, and convenient method using Raman spectroscopy and Atomic Force Microscopy for extracting the absorption coefficient of MoS2 is presented.

ABSORPTION COEFFICIENTS OF AIR [PDF]

open access: yes, 1960
Abstract : Tables of integrated absorption coefficients were evaluated for high-temperature air by summation of the contributions from discrete and continuous transitions. The tables were computed for dry air in the temperature range from 1,000 deg K to 12,000 deg K, at equal energy increments of 0.25 ev (2,016.5 cm. to the -1 power), in the wavelength

Performance analysis of a direct-absorption parabolic trough solar collector

open access: yes, 2018
A parabolic trough solar collector is a dominant technology for high-temperature industrial applications, but efficient use of a conventional surface-based parabolic trough solar collector (SBPTSC) is limited by its high radiation loss due to the high ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
