Spatially explicit approach to population abundance estimation in field surveys
The abundance of species is a fundamental consideration in ecology and conservation biology. Although broad models have been proposed to estimate the population abundance using existing data, available data is often limited. With no information available,

Evaluating the effect of γ‐oryzanol on MASLD pathology using a medaka fish model
This study explores a liver disease called MASLD, which is increasing worldwide and can lead to serious damage. Researchers used medaka fish instead of rodents to test a food compound, γ‐oryzanol. Fish fed this compound had less liver fat and healthier gut bacteria.

Aging Is a Key Driver for Adult Acute Myeloid Leukemia
Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a classical age‐related hematologic malignancy, and a key driver of AML is aging, which profoundly regulates intrinsic factors such as genomic instability, epigenetic reprogramming, and metabolic dysregulation, and alters bone marrow microenvironment.

District level poverty estimation: a spatial approach [PDF]
The paper uses the procedure for estimating regional consumer price index numbers based on the estimation of item-specific region wise Engel curves. Given the problem of unavailability of official district level poverty lines, the same are estimated by ...

Mutant NPM1 in Acute Myeloid Leukemia Initiation and Maintenance
NPM1 mutations drive acute myeloid leukemia by acting as neomorphic transcriptional regulators that cooperate with Menin–MLL and XPO1 to sustain HOX/MEIS1 expression and block differentiation. Targeting these mutant‐specific transcriptional dependencies provides a rational therapeutic strategy for NPM1‐mutated AML.

SPECIES: An R Package for Species Richness Estimation
We introduce an R package SPECIES for species richness or diversity estimation. This package provides simple R functions to compute point and confidence interval estimates of species number from a few nonparametric and semi-parametric methods.

Seals at sea: modelling seal distribution in the German bight based on aerial survey data
The Wadden Sea is an important habitat for harbour seals and grey seals. They regularly haul-out on sandbanks and islands along the coast. Comparably little is known about the time seals spend at sea and how they use the remainder of the North Sea.

Epigenetic reprogramming in hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs) and downstream myeloid cells, mediated by H3.3 downregulation and endogenous retroelement (ERE) overexpression, contributes to the progression of multiple sclerosis (MS). ABSTRACT Background Skewed myelopoiesis in the bone marrow has been identified as a key driver of multiple ...
