Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Detailed Chemical Abundance Analysis of the Brightest Stars in the Turranburra and Willka Yaku Stellar Streams

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We present a detailed chemical abundance analysis of the three brightest known stars from each of the Turranburra and Willka Yaku stellar streams using high-resolution Magellan/Magellan Inamori Kyocera Echelle spectra. Abundances for 27 elements, ranging

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

The Sun Remains Relatively Refractory Depleted: Elemental Abundances for 17,412 Gaia RVS Solar Analogs and 50 Planet Hosts

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
The element abundances of stars, particularly the refractory elements (e.g., Fe, Si, and Mg), play an important role in connecting stars to their planets. Most Sun-like stars do not have refractory abundance measurements since obtaining a large sample of

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

The Hubble Constant Anchor Galaxy NGC 4258: Metallicity and Distance from Blue Supergiants

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
A quantitative spectroscopic study of blue supergiant stars in the Hubble constant anchor galaxy NGC 4258 is presented. The non-LTE analysis of Keck I telescope LRIS spectra yields a central logarithmic metallicity (in units of the solar value) of [ Z ] =

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Elemental Abundances in the Diffuse Interstellar Medium from Joint Far-ultraviolet and X-Ray Spectroscopy: Iron, Oxygen, Carbon, and Sulfur

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
In this study, we investigate interstellar absorption lines along the line of sight toward the galactic low-mass X-ray binary Cygnus X-2. We combine absorption line data obtained from high-resolution X-ray spectra collected with the Chandra and XMM ...
