Fentrifanil: A diarylamine acaricide with potent mitochondrial uncoupling activity

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1980
Abstract The acaricide fentrifanil (2′-chloro-2,4-dinitro-5′,6-di(trifluoromethyl)diphenylamine) is a new and very potent type of uncoupler of respiratory chain phosphorylation. It stimulates oxygen consumption, reduces the respiratory control index, lowers the ADP O ratio and releases the oligomycin block of ADP-stimulated respiration in ...

Acaricidal Potentials of Active Properties Isolated from Cynanchum paniculatum and Acaricidal Changes by Introducing Functional Radicals

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2013
This study evaluated the acaricidal activities of acetophenone and its derivatives for their potentials as natural acaricides using an impregnated fumigant bioassay against Dermatophagoides spp. and Tyrophagus putrescentiae . On the basis of the LD50 values against D.

Synthesis and acaricidal activity of strobilurin-pyrimidine derivatives

Chinese Chemical Letters, 2014
Abstract Pyriminostrobin, a new acaricide, was discovered in our previous studies. Because introducing fluorine into organic compounds can increase bioactivity, pyriminostrobin was modified as a series of strobilurin-pyrimidine derivatives for biological screening. The compounds were characterized by 1 H NMR, MS and elemental analysis.

Factors influencing the acaricidal activity of flucycloxuron

Entomologia Experimentalis et Applicata, 1993
AbstractContact activities of flucycloxuron on immature stages of the two‐spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae (Koch)) and the European red mite (Panonychus ulmi (Koch)) gradually decrease in the successive developmental stages. The levels of contact activity of flucycloxuron on larvae and protonymphs of T. urticae and P. ulmi are of the same order.

Graphene oxide–acaricide nanocomposites advance acaricidal activity of acaricides against Tetranychus cinnabarinus by directly inhibiting the transcription of a cuticle protein gene

Environmental Science: Nano, 2021
GO is a promising synergistic agent of acaricides against mite pests, and the mechanism of synergistic effects of GO on acaricides was directly inhibiting the transcription of a CPR gene.

Acaricidal Activity of Boenninghausenia sessilicarpa Against Panonychus citri

Agricultural Sciences in China, 2009
Abstract Acaricidal activity of Boenninghausenia sessilicarpa against Panonychus citri was tested in the laboratory. Four solvents were used to prepare crude extracts, petroleum ether, chloroform, ethyl acetate, and ethanol, among which ethanol was the most effective one. The results suggested that ethanol extracts of B.

Acaricidal Activity of Methyl Palmitate to T. cinnabarinus

2009 3rd International Conference on Bioinformatics and Biomedical Engineering, 2009
Methyl palmitate, a kind of fatty acid methyl ester, has been found in many plants. Many biological functions of methyl palmitate have been found. Recently we isolated the methyl palmitate from the green walnuts husks and found it has acaricidal activity that had not been reported before.

Acaricidal and insecticidal activities of three synthetic oxazolidinones

Pesticide Science, 1991
AbstractThe effects of three synthetic 2‐oxazolidinones were investigated on two arthropod pests: (1) Boophilus microplus (Canestrinii), the Southern cattle tick; and (2) Cylas formicarius elegantulus (Summer), a sweet potato weevil.

Synthesis of novel quinolinomatrine derivatives and their insecticidal/acaricidal activities

Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters, 2018
In continuation of our program to discover natural product-based pesticidal agents, a series of new quinolinomatrine derivatives were prepared. Especially three-dimensional structures of five compounds were unambiguously determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction.
