A Group MCP Approach for Structure Identification in Non-Parametric Accelerated Failure Time Additive Regression Model

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
In biomedical research, identifying genes associated with diseases is of paramount importance. However, only a small fraction of genes are related to specific diseases among the multitude of genes.

Time to recovery from Hypothermia among neonates admitted to Pawe General Hospital, Metekel Zone, Ethiopia: An Accelerated failure time model analysis

open access: yesClinical Epidemiology and Global Health
Background: Neonatal hypothermia remains a major contributor to morbidity and mortality in low-resource settings such as Ethiopia. Understanding how quickly affected neonates recover and what factors delay or accelerate this recovery is essential for ...

A general hazard regression modelfor accelerated life testing

open access: yes, 2009
In this paper, we apply a general hazard regression model for accelerated life testing. The model utilizes failure time data at accelerated conditions to estimate the reliabilitymeasures at normal operating conditions. The extended hazard regression ‐EHR‐

Model Averaging for Accelerated Failure Time Models with Missing Censoring Indicators

open access: yesMathematics
Model averaging has become a crucial statistical methodology, especially in situations where numerous models vie to elucidate a phenomenon. Over the past two decades, there has been substantial advancement in the theory of model averaging. However, a gap

Reliable Method to Detect Alloy Soldering Fractures under Accelerated Life Test

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
In this research, we investigated the development and design of the Accelerated Life Test (ALT) and its approach to the waste of material. The development of a reliability model is based on the moment at which failure appears.

Therapeutic Apheresis in Nigeria: A Multi‐Center Summary of Abstracts From the Inaugural Nigerian Society for Apheresis Scientific Meeting

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Therapeutic apheresis (TA) is an established treatment modality for hematologic, neurologic, and immunologic disorders, yet access remains severely limited in sub‐Saharan Africa. Donor apheresis, including platelet apheresis collection from healthy donors, represents an important complementary modality supporting blood product ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

The Missing Indicator Approach for Accelerated Failure Time Model with Covariates Subject to Limits of Detection

open access: yesStats, 2022
The limit of detection (LOD) is commonly encountered in observational studies when one or more covariate values fall outside the measuring ranges. Although the complete-case (CC) approach is widely employed in the presence of missing values, it could ...
