Assessing adherence to physical activity guidelines and correlates among older Korean adults with a focus on 10-minute bout duration using subjective and objective measures.

open access: yesPLoS ONE
BackgroundUnderstanding physical activity (PA) patterns in older adults is crucial for effectively promoting adherence to PA guidelines. However, measuring PA can be challenging because it involves a balance between ease of administration and accuracy of

The mediating role of the kynurenine pathway in longitudinal associations between dietary intake and quality of life in colorectal cancer survivors up to 12 months posttreatment

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, EarlyView.
What's New? Many colorectal cancer survivors experience reduced health‐related quality of life (HRQoL), often lasting years after diagnosis. Healthy dietary patterns and even individual macro‐ and micronutrients, however, can potentially improve HRQoL.

The impact of physical activity on psychological distress in young people: An analysis of longitudinal data from the Millennium Cohort Study using causal machine learning

open access: yesJCPP Advances, EarlyView.
Using causal machine learning, we estimated the causal effect of meeting government guidelines on physical activity on psychological distress in young people. Whilst observing no overall impact, we did identify some groups who benefit relatively more from meeting the physical activity guidelines, including males.

Toward an idiographic understanding of the role of sleep‐mood dynamics in adolescents' internalizing symptoms

open access: yesJCPP Advances, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Adolescence is marked by increased vulnerability to sleep disturbances and mood disorders. Understanding how day‐to‐day changes in sleep and mood are linked within the same individual is crucial for clarifying sleep's role in emerging internalizing disorders. However, the extent to which an adolescent's fluctuations in sleep predict
