Triplet‐Triplet Annihilation Enhances Photochemical Curing Contrast for Vat‐Based 3D Printing
Triplet–triplet annihilation photopolymerization (TTAP) resins enhance curing contrast for digital light processing (DLP) 3D printing compared to conventional Type I and II photopolymerizations at matched optical densities. By exploiting a superlinear initiation response, TTAP preserves fine details, allowing reliable fabrication of complex structures ...

Radial modes of pressure bumps and dips in astrophysical discs
Aims. We investigate signatures of pressure extrema on global oscillations in discs. Methods. We used the framework of wave topology to establish a generalised local dispersion relation that includes pressure gradients.

From femtonova to supernova: Heavy-ion collisions and the supernova equation of state
Calculations using astrophysical equations of state at low densities comparable to that of the neutrino emission surface in supernovae and accretion disks are confronted with experimental results from heavy ion collisions.

ACCRETING CIRCUMPLANETARY DISKS: OBSERVATIONAL SIGNATURES [PDF]
I calculate the spectral energy distributions (SEDs) of accreting circumplanetary disks using atmospheric radiative transfer models. Circumplanetary disks only accreting at $10^{-10} M_{\odot} yr^{-1}$ around a 1 M$_{J}$ planet can be brighter than the planet itself.

A Solution to the Protostellar Accretion Problem
Accretion rates of order 10^-8 M_\odot/yr are observed in young protostars of approximately a solar mass with evidence of circumstellar disks. The accretion rate is significantly lower for protostars of smaller mass, approximately proportional to the ...

The Shakura & Sunyaev model is the mostly adopted description of the thermal emission produced by the accretion disk around a black hole and infers rough estimates of the disk luminosity and the black hole mass. More advanced models have been developed in order to account for general relativistic effects, including the role of the black hole spin ...

Decoding Quantum Gravity Information with Black Hole Accretion Disk
Integrating loop quantum gravity with classical gravitational collapse models offers an effective solution to the black hole singularity problem and predicts the formation of a white hole in the later stages of collapse.

Slim Accretion Disks: Theory and Observational Consequences
The concept of slim accretion disks emerged over 30 years ago as an answer to several unsolved problems. Since that time there has been a tremendous increase in the amount of observational data where this model applies.
