Semi‐supervised classification of fundus images combined with CNN and GCN
Abstract Purpose Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is one of the most serious complications of diabetes, which is a kind of fundus lesion with specific changes. Early diagnosis of DR can effectively reduce the visual damage caused by DR. Due to the variety and different morphology of DR lesions, automatic classification of fundus images in mass screening can ...

A model-free approach to continuous-time finance [PDF]
We present a non-probabilistic, pathwise approach to continuous-time finance based on causal functional calculus. We introduce a definition of self-financing, free from any integration concept and show that the value of a self-financing portfolio is a pathwise integral (every self-financing strategy is a gradient) and that generic domain of functional ...

A numerical scheme is presented to design a lattice support for metallic components additively built via laser powder bed fusion. Results show that thermal‐induced distortion can be respectively reduced by 69%, 58%, and 50% in comparison to a uniform lattice, a fully solid support, and a truss‐based lattice support.

International Trade Finance from the Origins to the Present: Market Structures, Regulation and Governance [PDF]
This chapter presents a history of international trade finance - the oldest domain of international finance - from its emergence in the Middle Ages up to today. We describe how the structure and governance of the global trade finance market changed over time and how trade credit instruments evolved.

The rise of digital finance: Financial inclusion or debt trap [PDF]
This study focuses on the impact of digital finance on households. While digital finance has brought financial inclusion, it has also increased the risk of households falling into a debt trap. We provide evidence that supports this notion and explain the channel through which digital finance increases the likelihood of financial distress.

4D Printed Shape Morphing Biocompatible Materials Based on Anisotropic Ferromagnetic Nanoparticles
4D printed materials based on magnetic nanoparticles allow remote and reversible actuation of pre‐defined structures. However, the fabrication of nanocomposites results in structures that move uniformly toward the magnetic field and require the anchoring of the material.

Magnetic nanoparticles serve in cell culture as tools to make cells controllable by magnetic forces. This feature is utilized for tissue engineering to seed cells in patterns or to form multicellular constructs in a targeted way. Here, four different superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticle systems are compared with commercially available NanoShuttle ...

A novel method of cross‐sectional scanning thermal microscopy proves to be most accurate to characterize the thermal transport in such complex structures by performing the thermal conductance measurements on a wedge cut geometry. Enhanced phonon scattering and large values of power factor results in a high value of ZT = 2.08 ± 0.37 at room temperature ...

Organic planar heterojunctions are fabricated by matching the thickness of a non‐fullerene acceptor to its exciton diffusion length. Additional hole transfer mediated by the exciton diffusion generates a photocurrent over 10 mA cm−2 in the planar heterojunction.
