Testing Accuracy and Fluency in Speaking Through Communicative Activities
For many years, all those interested in the teaching of English as a foreign language have analysed, investigated and discussed the role and importance of speaking skills and the way they could be tested in the teaching-learning process.

We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.

Two-color fluorescent cytosine extension assay for the determination of global DNA methylation
Here, we present a DNA restriction enzyme–based, fluorescent cytosine extension assay (CEA) to improve normalization and technical variation among sample-to-sample measurements.

Fragmentation Functions Beyond Fixed Order Accuracy
We give a detailed account of the phenomenology of all-order resummations of logarithmically enhanced contributions at small momentum fraction of the observed hadron in semi-inclusive electron-positron annihilation and the time-like scale evolution of ...

Next‐generation proteomics improves lung cancer risk prediction
This is one of very few studies that used prediagnostic blood samples from participants of two large population‐based cohorts. We identified, evaluated, and validated an innovative protein marker model that outperformed an established risk prediction model and criteria employed by low‐dose computed tomography in lung cancer screening trials.

Classification accuracy increase using multisensor data fusion [PDF]
The practical use of very high resolution visible and near-infrared (VNIR) data is still growing (IKONOS, Quickbird, GeoEye-1, etc.) but for classification purposes the number of bands is limited in comparison to full spectral imaging. These limitations
