Analysis of the dynamic state of the system "fixture – workpiece" [PDF]

open access: yesЖурнал інженерних наук, 2016
In this article the vibrations of the “fixture – workpiece” system arising during the cutting process at various manufacturing steps under machining of levers in different fixture systems were investigated by means of numerical simulation methods.

Accuracy guarantees for L1-recovery

open access: yes, 2010
We discuss two new methods of recovery of sparse signals from noisy observation based on $\ell_1$- minimization. They are closely related to the well-known techniques such as Lasso and Dantzig Selector.

Accuracy of a multiport network analyzer [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
The accuracy of a multiport vector network analyzer, which uses a new calibration concept, has been compared with a 2-port network analyzer that implements the classical TRL procedure.

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Flow Cytometry for Estimating Plant Genome Size: Revisiting Assumptions, Sources of Variation, Reference Standards, and Best Practices

open access: yesJournal of the American Society for Horticultural Science
Flow cytometry has been widely used to estimate relative and absolute genome sizes (DNA contents) of plants for more than 50 years. However, the accuracy of these estimates can vary widely because of many factors, including errors in the genome size ...

Optical output enhances flowmeter accuracy [PDF]

open access: yes, 1965
Magnetic flowmeter with a direct-coupled optical output increases accuracy and operates independently of other system inputs.

Accuracy Issues for Numerical Waveforms

open access: yes, 2012
We study the convergence properties of our implementation of the 'moving punctures' approach at very high resolutions for an equal-mass, non-spinning, black-hole binary. We find convergence of the Hamiltonian constraint on the horizons and the L2 norm of

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Accuracy of magnetic energy computations

open access: yes, 2013
For magnetically driven events, the magnetic energy of the system is the prime energy reservoir that fuels the dynamical evolution. In the solar context, the free energy is one of the main indicators used in space weather forecasts to predict the ...
