〔報告〕展示ケース内有機酸濃度のギ酸/酢酸比 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In the museum environment, contamination of air in display cases by organic acid gases emitted from interior materials has been a problem because metal objects are deteriorated due to acetic acid and formic acid among organic acids.

The genealogical tree of ethanol: gas-phase formation of glycolaldehyde, acetic acid and formic acid [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Despite the harsh conditions of the interstellar medium, chemistry thrives in it, especially in star forming regions where several interstellar complex organic molecules (iCOMs) have been detected. Yet, how these species are synthesised is a mystery. The

Trace Nickel Activated Biphasic Core‐CuOii/Shell‐CuOi Secondary Microspheres Enable Room Temperature Parts‐Per‐Trillion‐Level NO2 Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An idea of designing novel sensors is proposed by creating appropriate Schottky barriers and vacancies between isomorphous Core‐CuOii/ Shell‐CuOi secondary microspheres and enhancing catalytic and spill‐over effects, and electronegativity via spontaneous biphasic separation, self‐assembly, and trace‐Ni‐doping.

Ideal Molecular Sieving with a Dense MOF for Helium Upgrading with Highly Diffusion Selective Mixed Matrix Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

〔報告〕フィルム保管庫における酢酸雰囲気の改善の試み [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Concentration of acetic acid in cabinets, film storage and adjacent room were measured. Two cabinets were filled with acetic acid generated from aged microfilms. Absorbents were placed in one of the cabinets to remove acetic acid.

Intermolecular Interactions as Driving Force of Increasing Multiphoton Absorption in a Perylene Diimide‐Based Coordination Polymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.

Molecular-dynamics-simulation-guided membrane engineering allows the increase of membrane fatty acid chain length in Saccharomyces cerevisiae

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
The use of lignocellulosic-based fermentation media will be a necessary part of the transition to a circular bio-economy. These media contain many inhibitors to microbial growth, including acetic acid.
