A micromethod for the measurement of acetyl phosphate and acetyl coenzyme A
Analytical Biochemistry, 1980Abstract A method for the determination of acetyl phosphate in cell-free extracts is described. The sensitivity of this method is 20 pmol/ml of extract. An adaptation that permits the measurement of picomole quantities of acetyl CoA is also presented.

Acetylation of nucleosides and acetyl migration
Tetrahedron, 1968Abstract Acetylation of the 2′-OH group predominances over acetylation of the 3′-OH group in derivatives of adenosine, uridine, 3β- d -xylosyluracil and 3β- d -lyxosyluracil. In each case subsequent equilibrium of the products of acetylation results in a net acetyl migration away from the glycosidic link.

Histone Acetylation and Cancer
Acta Oncologica, 2003Acta Oncologica Vol. 42, No. 7, p. 792, 2003Received 7 March 2003Accepted 14 April 2003To the Editor:The organization of chromatin is crucial for the regulation of geneexpression. In particular, both the positioning and properties ofnucleosomes influence promoter-specific transcription in responseto extracellular or intracellular signals (1).

Exchange reaction of acetyl fluoride and acetyl hexafluoroarsenate
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 1969Abstract : From the temperature dependence of the exchange rate of the methyl protons between acetyl fluoride and acetyl hexafluoroarsenate an Arrhenius activation energy of 11.0 kcal/mol and a preexponential factor of 10 to the 8.9 power were obtained.

Nucleosome acetylation sequencing to study the establishment of chromatin acetylation
Analytical Biochemistry, 2014The establishment of posttranslational chromatin modifications is a major mechanism for regulating how genomic DNA is utilized. However, current in vitro chromatin assays do not monitor histone modifications at individual nucleosomes. Here we describe a strategy, nucleosome acetylation sequencing, that allows us to read the amount of modification at ...

[8] Micromethod for the measurement of acetyl phosphate and acetyl coenzyme A
1986The method described here utilizes two enzymes involved with acetyl-CoA and acetyl phosphate metabolism in bacteria to measure these compounds. Basically, the acetyl-CoA and acetyl phosphate in perchloric acid extracts are converted to ATP, in the presence of [3H]ADP of high specific activity, using the enzymes phosphotransacetylase (PTA) and acetate ...
