The Effect of Nb on the Continuous Cooling Transformation Curves of Ultra-Thin Strip CASTRIP© Steels
The effect of Nb on the hardenability of ultra-thin cast strip (UCS) steels produced via the unique regime of rapid solidification, large austenite grain size, and inclusion engineering of the CASTRIP© process was investigated.

Mechanism of the Transition from Bainite to Acicular Ferrite
The factors controlling the transition from a microstructure consisting of austenite grain boundary nucleated sheaves of bainite, to one containing intragranularly nucleated plates of acicular ferrite are explored. The work confirms that in weld metals containing inclusions, the transition from bainite to acicular ferrite can be stimulated of the prior

Microstructures and Mechanical Properties of Q345B Steel Weld Joint Using Double sided Arc Welding
To solve the problem of incomplete penetration and the welding torch hitting the plate during the welding process of Q345B large thick plate by using robot double-sided arc welding, the method of using no reserved-clearance root was proposed.

This work uses high‐temperature dilatometry to examine how the tramp elements Cu, Ni, and Sn affect the deformability of non‐metallic inclusions and matrix in quench‐and‐temper steel. Mg‐bearing inclusions deform less than Mg‐free ones. Copper lowers formability. Nickel increases deformability.

This review explains how impurities from recycled scrap affect steel production and performance. Even small amounts (far below 1%) of these impurities can change how steel behaves during fabrication but also affect the properties of the end product. With better understanding and targeted countermeasures, these challenges can be managed, enabling wider ...

Effect of Ti on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Vertical EGW Welded Joint of 12MnNiVR Steel [PDF]
Ti-containing and Ti-free 12MnNiVR steels were welded separately by vertical EGW welding with a heat input of 100 kJ/cm. The microstructure, precipitates and inclusions of the welded joints were studied by means of optical microscope, scanning electron ...

Laser Metal Powder Deposition of Titanium Microalloyed HSLA Steel FeC0.12Si0.25Mn1.3
This study investigates the additive manufacturing of titanium‐doped high‐strength low‐alloy (HSLA) steel via laser metal deposition. It reveals distinct process‐structure relationships for elemental powder blends compared to prealloyed feedstocks.
