Minimization of Porosity in E11018‐G Low‐Alloyed Steel Processed by Laser Powder Directed Energy Deposition

open access: yessteel research international, Volume 97, Issue 3, Page 1369-1383, March 2026.
The processability of the E11018‐G by laser powder directed energy deposition (LP‐DED) is investigated. The effects of powder moisture, ambient humidity, and laser remelting on LP‐DED parts’ porosity are shown. A strong influence of the atomizing gas is observed.

Influence of Cooling Rates and Titanium Content on Hot Ductility in Niobium‐Fixed Microalloyed Steels

open access: yessteel research international, Volume 97, Issue 2, Page 719-730, February 2026.
The hot ductility of four microalloyed steels was examined under varying cooling rates and titanium contents. Hot tensile testing and microscopic analysis revealed that ferrite formation and TiNb(CN) precipitation critically influence hot ductility. Lower cooling rates enhance ductility by increasing ferrite thickness and modifying precipitate features,

Activation of Molecular Oxygen by Electron‐Rich Materials for Sustainable Soil Remediation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 4, 19 January 2026.
Abundant molecular oxygen (O2) in nature can be utilized and activated by electron‐rich materials to generate reactive oxygen species for in situ engineering remediation of contaminated soil. The material types, activation mechanisms, and influencing factors are discussed in the research.

Thermomechanical Processing, Microstructure, and Mechanical Properties of Medium‐Mn Steel

open access: yessteel research international, Volume 96, Issue 12, Page 252-260, December 2025.
The microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of a medium‐Mn steel are investigated after thermomechanical processing and isothermal holding at various temperatures. A fine multiphase structure of bainite, fresh or tempered martensite, and retained austenite are obtained.

Recording Characteristics of Acicular Cobalt-ferrite Tape.

open access: yesJournal of the Japan Society of Powder and Powder Metallurgy, 1996
Two kinds of acicular cobalt ferrite fine particles which differed in size (long axis : about 1.2μm and 0.4μm) were prepared by conventional sintering method. Then two kinds of acicular cobalt ferrite tapes were fabricated with these fine particles and binder regins.

The Influence of Subcritical Annealing and Cold Working on the Hydrogen Embrittlement Susceptibility of X65 D Pipeline Steel

open access: yesMaterials and Corrosion, Volume 76, Issue 10, Page 1478-1496, October 2025.
This study investigated the effect of subcritical heat treatment and cold work on the hydrogen embrittlement (HE) susceptibility of the X65 D pipeline steel. Hydrogen charging reduced the ductility of all specimens. Both subcritical annealing and cold working decreased somewhat the degree of HE.
