Acid—base equilibria of β-blockers in acetonitrile
Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, 1990The acid-base equilibria of a series of beta-adrenoceptor blocking drugs in acetonitrile have been studied, and pKHB+ values determined. The theory of such titrations is discussed and simple potentiometric and visual methods in acetonitrile media are proposed for the assay of beta-adrenoceptor blocking drugs.

Redox properties and acid–base equilibria of zucchini mavicyanin
Journal of Inorganic Biochemistry, 2001The reduction potential of mavicyanin isolated from zucchini peelings, which is a blue copper protein belonging to the subclass of the phytocyanins, has been determined through direct electrochemistry as a function of temperature and pH. The enthalpy and entropy changes accompanying protein reduction were found to be very similar with those determined ...

Hydration Effects and Acid-Base Equilibria
1973Water is the most common solvent for all of chemistry, including acid-base chemistry. For this reason it is appropriate to begin our discussion of acids and bases in aqueous systems with a consideration of the thermodynamics of self-ionization of water.

Acid-base equilibria in acetonitrile-water mixtures
Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry and Interfacial Electrochemistry, 1974Summary The acid-base equilibria in AN-water mixtures with decreasing content of water: 30, 10, 5 and 1%-wt., were investigated potentiometrically. It was concluded that 1%-wt. water in pure AN is enough to provide the stability of perchloric acid solutions. The perchloric acid behaves as a strong acid in the four mixed solvents.

Acid-base equilibria in solutions of isoionic conalbumin
Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 1956Abstract 1. 1. The value of the fluctuating charge of conalbumin at the isoionic point was found to be 1.6. 2. 2. Isoionic conalbumin binds chloride ions, but to a lesser degree than human serum albumin.

Aqueous Acid-Base Equilibria and Titrations
1999Aqueous Acid-Base Equilibria and Titrations uses new theoretical developments which have led to more generalized approaches to equilibrium problems; these approaches are often simpler than the approximations which they replace. Acid-base problems are readily addressed in terms of the proton condition, a convenient amalgam of the mass

ACID BASE EQUILIBRIA OF OLOPATADINE IN AQUEOUS MEDIA
Physical Chemistry 2024 : proceedings Vol. 2The pKa values of olopatadine were potentiometrically determined in the presence and in the absence of differently charged micelles, anionic, cationic and nonionic. The ionization of olopatadine has been significantly affected by the interactions of ionizable groups with micelles (∆pKa -2.21 to +2.75).

Acid-base equilibria in ionic liquids
2015Ionic liquids (ILs) are low temperature molten organic salts, with melting points lying often below room temperature. Due to their peculiar properties, such as low volatility, low flammability and high stability, they have been widely used in the last two decades as alternative reaction media to conventional organic solvents for many organic reactions.
