Acidolysis of Wood in Ionic Liquids

Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, 2010
Three wood species including Eucalyptus grandis (E. grandis), Southern pine (S. pine), and Norway spruce thermomechanical pulp (N. spruce TMP) were dissolved in the ionic liquid (IL) 1-allyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ([Amim]Cl), and then they were pretreated with small amounts of hydrochloric acid, as a function of time.

Chemical separation of polyurethane via acidolysis – combining acidolysis with hydrolysis for valorisation of aromatic amines

Green Chemistry
Neat acidolysis of flexible PU foam with succinic acid is demonstrated to give quantitative imide formation and high-quality polyols. The easily separable imides are further converted to anilines which may re-enter the PU-value chain.

A highly regioselective catalyst of epichlorohydrin acidolysis

Journal of Chemical Technology & Biotechnology, 1998
The effect of the catalytic system on the course of addition of carboxylic acids to epichlorohydrin was studied. A high regioselectivity of addition was observed in the presence of chromium(III) acetate. The regioselectivity improved with the size of the carboxylic acid molecule.

Preparation of organoalkoxysiloxanes by partial acidolysis of organoalkoxysilanes

Russian Journal of General Chemistry, 2012
Partial polycondensation of RSi(OMe)3 (R = C6H5, CH3) by the reaction with AcOH in the presence of HCl is studied. Oligoorganomethoxysiloxanes are obtained of the average composition [RSi(OMe)O]4, [RSi (OMe)4/6O7/6]6, RSi(OMe)0.5O1.25]8, and [RSi(OMe)0.4O1.3]10.

Preparation of dioxane lignin fractions by acidolysis

1988
Publisher Summary A convenient method for the preparation of lignin fractions from biomass is provided by the combination of mild solvolytic conditions with a good lignin solvent. Dioxane is a particularly interesting isolating agent of lignin fractions because of its solubility parameter, which is very close to the optimum value for isolated lignin ...

Acidolysis of Tristearin with Selected Long-Chain Fatty Acids

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2007
Five lipases, namely, Candida antarctica (Novozyme-435), Mucor miehei (Lipozyme-IM), Pseudomonas sp. (PS-30), Aspergillus niger (AP-12), and Candida rugosa (AY-30), were screened for their effect on catalyzing the acidolysis of tristearin with selected long-chain fatty acids. Among the lipases tested C.

Genetic programming approach to predict a model acidolysis system

Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, 2009
This paper models acidolysis of triolein and palmitic acid under the catalysis of immobilized sn-1,3 specific lipase. A gene-expression programming (GEP), which is an extension to genetic programming (GP)-based model was developed for the prediction of the concentration of major reaction products of this reaction (1-palmitoyl-2,3-oleoyl-glycerol (POO),

ACIDOLYSIS OF SEAL BLUBBER OIL WITH LAURIC ACID

Journal of Food Lipids, 2007
ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to modify the fatty acid composition of seal (Phoca groenlandica) blubber oil by incorporation of lauric acid (12:0; a medium chain fatty acid). Of the three enzymes that were employed in the initial screening, sn‐1,3‐regiospecific lipase from Mucor miehei (Lipozyme IM) exhibited the highest activity and was ...

Acidolysis of coal fly ash by Aspergillus niger

Fuel, 1993
Abstract The kinetics of aluminium extraction were investigated, using as-received and calcined fly ash samples and a pure culture of Aspergillus niger . This fungus metabolized sucrose to citric and oxalic acids, which were involved in the acidolysis of fly ash.
