Optical Signature of Moiré Superlattices Formed by Twisted SrTiO3 Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We discover optical signatures from bonded interfaces in twisted SrTiO3 moiré superlattices, including low‐frequency Raman vibrational modes and strong second‐harmonic generation, consistent with strong interlayer coupling inferred from cross‐sectional electron microscopy and ab initio calculations. ABSTRACT Moiré superlattices formed at the interfaces

Modified Green's Functions for Shallow Water Acoustic Wave Propagation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
This article presents an assessment of alternative forms of the Green’s function for boundary element simulations of acoustic wave propagation in shallow water. It is assumed that the problem is two-dimensional, the source of acoustic disturbance is time-

Experimental Study of Omnidirectional Scattering Characteristics of Complex Scale Targets Based on Coded Signals

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
To investigate the omnidirectional geometric scattering characteristics of an underwater vehicle and the target detection performance of phase coded (BPSK) signals, acoustic scattering tests were carried out in an anechoic chamber using the Suboff scale ...

Halide Perovskite: A Rich Source of Thermal Insulator. [PDF]

open access: yesAdv Sci (Weinh)
Halide perovskites exhibit ultralow thermal conductivity driven by intrinsic lattice softness and strong anharmonicity, falling below conventional defect‐engineering limits. Weak metavalent bonding, A‐site rattling, and dynamic octahedral tilting drive phonon scattering to the Ioffe–Regel limit, where wave‐like tunneling replaces particle‐like ...

Gradient‐Conductivity Architecture Enables Synchronous Enhancement of Sensitivity and Detection Range in Multifunctional All‐Paper Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A gradient‐engineered all‐paper sensor is fabricated by integrating MXene and in situ grown AgNPs within hierarchical cellulose networks. The device breaks the sensitivity–detection range trade‐off through cascaded conductive pathways, enabling ultrahigh pressure sensitivity, humidity–pressure decoupled dual‐mode sensing, and outstanding EMI shielding,

Spatial signature of the photoelastic effect in the acoustic–plasmonic coupling revealed by space responsivity induced by polarized optical excitation

open access: yesNanophotonics
Acoustic–plasmonic coupling in metallic nanoparticles can significantly alter their optical absorption and scattering characteristics. However, almost all previous investigations on acoustic–plasmonic coupling so far have been focused on the spectral ...
