A simulation method on target strength and circular SAS imaging of X-rudder UUV including multiple acoustic scattering

open access: yesDefence Technology, 2023
Target strength (TS) and circular synthetic aperture sonar (CSAS) images provide essential information for active acoustic detection and recognition of non-cooperative unmanned undersea vehicles (UUVs), which pose a significant threat to underwater ...

Amphoteric Cu‐Doping Leading to High Thermoelectric Performance in p‐Type Bismuth Antimony Telluride

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study shows that Cu plays two opposite roles in p‐type Bi0.5Sb1.5Te3 depending on the processing route. Under thermodynamic‐equilibrium bulk‐synthesis, Cu mainly occupies cation sites, increases hole concentration, preserves mobility, and slightly reduces lattice heat transport. The best‐performing composition among the investigated series reaches

Analysis of the Propagation Characteristics of Acoustic Waves From Leakages in Buried Gas Pipelines

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
In order to accurately detect the leakages in buried gas pipelines and to reduce the leakage amount and false alarms, the propagation characteristics of acoustic waves owing to leakages in buried gas pipelines are analyzed.

Nitride MXenes Beyond Carbides: Bridging the Gap Between Computational Prediction and Experimental Realization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Nitride MXenes remain constrained by a persistent gap between computational prediction and experimental realization. This Review identifies the thermodynamic, kinetic, and chemical barriers limiting their synthesis, critically evaluates emerging fabrication routes, and proposes a multidimensional computational‐experimental framework to accelerate the ...

2‐Deoxyglucose Dendrimer‐Enabled Niclosamide Delivery to FRβ‐Expressing Macrophages Alleviates Endometriosis Progression and Associated Hyperalgesia

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A folic acid (FA)‐conjugated 2‐deoxyglucose dendrimer selectively targets FRβ+ macrophages in endometriotic lesions, enabling precise intracellular delivery of niclosamide. This nonhormonal nanomedicine enhances drug solubility, provides controlled intracellular release, suppresses lesion growth, reduces inflammation and pain, and establishes FRβ ...

Acoustic scattering characteristics of underwater buried oil pipeline

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series
Abstract With the development of offshore oil resources, subsea oil pipelines have emerged. As a fast, economical, and safe way to transport oil resources, subsea pipelines are known as the “lifeline” of offshore oil projects. However, the detection of submarine pipelines is very difficult due to the complex underwater environment.

Frequency dependence of acoustic waves in marine sediments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
In situ techniques provide the most reliable method of examining the geoacoustical properties of marine sediments. In the past, individual in situ surveys have only been able to examine compressional waves over a maximum frequency range of 100 Hz to 50 ...
