Werden Gewebekulturen von Ruta graveolens L. unter bestimmten Bedingungen aufgezogen, produzieren sie intensiv gelbe Farbstoffe. Es war zu erwarten, das die Farbung zumindest teilweise von Acridon-Alkaloiden verursacht wird. Eine Klarung dieser Frage sollte die Analyse von Wurzel- und Stengel-Kallus-Kulturen bringen.

9-Acridone from 2,2′-diaminobenzophenone

9-Acridone and 3,6-dichloro-9-acridone have been prepared in high yields by treatment of the corresponding 2,2′-diaminobenzophenones with 100% phosphoric acid. Boiling hydrochloric acid does not effect these cyclisations.

Abstract1‐Chlor‐ und 1,7‐Dichlor‐4‐nitro‐acridon wurden mit einigen Phenolen und Bisphenolen zu Farbstoffen umgesetzt, die Polyvinylchlorid grünlichgelb färben. Im Xenotest 800 Std. belichtet, zeigten die einfachen Acridone IX bis XIII eine ungewöhnlich hohe Lichtechtheit; sie sind aber migrationsunecht.
