Reductive alkylation of acrylonitriles and acrylates
In the presence of activated metals , secondary alkyl iodides and bromides react with olefins conjugated with electron withdrawing groups, in particular acrylonitriles and acrylates, to give the corresponding product (III) of reductive ...

Comparison of surface roughness of dental materials as an adhesion factor of oral biofilm [PDF]
Introduction: In order for a material to be considered biologically acceptable, it is necessary to have such a surface design that it reacts as little as possible with tissue and environmental agents.

Single‐chain nanoparticles have been proposed as drug delivery carriers, but adding a tail can significantly enhance their performance. This was demonstrated using a tadpole‐like structure comprising a head prepared from a UV‐crosslinked fructose‐based glycopolymer capable of targeting GLUT receptors, combined with a PEG‐based tail. Compared with other

Asymmetric Aminohydroxylation of Heteroaromatic Acrylates
N-, S- and O-heteroaromatic acrylates were aminohydroxylated with generally high regio- and enantioselectivity. While pyridylacrylates are not amenable towards this process, the corresponding N-oxides proved to be a useful substitute, allowing the access

Eutectozymes as Soft Hybrid Materials for Advanced Biocatalysis
Eutectozymes are sustainable hybrid materials that embed a GOx–HRP cascade within hydrophobic eutectogels featuring a dual supramolecular–covalent network. This architecture preserves native enzyme structure and stability, enables efficient heterogeneous biocatalysis in aqueous media, and positions eutectogels as robust platforms for next‐generation ...

Dexime: A Selectively Enzyme‐Degradable Hydrogel for Protein Therapeutic Release
A dextrin‐oxime hydrogel (dexime) is produced using ketone or aldehyde modified dextrin and tetra‐oxyamine modified poly(ethylene glycol). The rheological and mechanical properties of dexime are tunable. Dexime is injectable, cytocompatible, hydrolytically stable, and selectively degradable by α‐amylase.
