Introduction. Actinomycosis is a chronic bacterial infection caused by Actinomyces, Gram‐positive anaerobic bacteria. Its symptomatology imitates some malignant pelvic tumours, tuberculosis, or nocardiosis, causing abscesses and fistulas.
